The Shanti Som Wellbeing Retreat has 14 elegant rooms and suites whose furnishings combine Western and Asian elements. These are divided into twelve premium rooms and 2 junior suites. In addition to all the usual amenities (air conditioning, safe, etc.), the Premium rooms also offer you a balcony or terrace with a view of the surrounding picturesque forest and mountains (approx. 25 m²).
The slightly more spacious Junior Suites impress with a large terrace and a view of the hotel's own oriental garden with three lagoons (approx. 50 sqm).

Culinary-wise, this retreat offers you everything from Asian fusion cuisine, using mainly local ingredients. Look forward to balanced, healthy Asian-inspired meals in the "Samsara" restaurant, which offers a relaxed atmosphere and modern dining rooms.

The resort is located in the 180 square kilometer Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, a biosphere reserve in the province of Málaga on the Costa del Sol. This ensures that your resort is surrounded by pine, almond, lemon and olive trees as well as an extensive forest.
Hike with a guide through the surrounding area of the resort and observe the extraordinary vegetation and discover a wide variety of fruits. The landscape is characterized in particular by the extensive rocky areas and plateaus of the so-called "Sierras Blancas" & "Sierras Rojas" made of white limestone or reddish dolomite. You can also discover the Pinsapo fir trees, which only grow in Morocco apart from Andalusia. The Sierra is also known for its numerous Iberian ibexes as well as the many deer and wild boar.
The Shanti Som Wellbeing Retreat is four kilometers from the town of Monda; Marbella and the beaches of the Costa del Sol can be reached in around 15 minutes by car. Arrival is via Málaga Airport-Costa del Sol, which is around 40 km from the resort.
A private airport transfer costs around €70 one way (€140 return) and is paid for at the resort. Alternatively, we recommend a rental car, which you can use to explore the south of Spain independently.
After a restful sleep and a refreshing dip in the resort's own pool, enjoy a healthy breakfast. Then align your inner peace with the sunrise to enjoy this life-enriching experience. Yoga accompanies you on all levels and strengthens body, mind and spirit.
Train with a personal trainer or in a group with others to achieve individual goals. Look forward to a variety of fitness classes and start the day full of energy. In addition to TRX or Power Plate, you can enjoy all the benefits of the Open Environment Fitness Center. Enjoy a relaxing massage and body scrub afterwards.
After a healthy lunch and a rest break at the resort, you can go on a guided hike with like-minded people. You will immerse yourself in the surrounding nature and discover various highlights of the Sierra de las Nieves.
Afterwards, you can take another yoga or meditation class and completely focus on yourself. To enjoy the evening sun to the full, we recommend ending the day with a good book by the pool.

Travel duration:
This retreat has a fixed duration of 8 days / 7 nights. However, there is also the option of 4, 6 and 11 days. Please see "Travel packages overview". If you wish, we can also adjust the duration of the trip to suit you. Please simply contact us for this.
Travel program:
You determine your travel program individually, i.e. you can lie on the beach all day or take part in as many courses & activities as are included in your travel package (all services apply as stated below under Included Services).
Availability:
Please note that your period may be fully booked at short notice due to dynamic booking procedures. This means that we cannot always guarantee that the selected trip will be available at the requested time in combination with a specific room. In any case, we will immediately check all travel components with the organizer on site so that we can guarantee you a final response within 48 hours! In the rare case of unavailability, we will offer you an alternative option directly: Either in comparable accommodation or for a slightly different travel period.
Cancellation conditions:
