In recent years, Phuket has increasingly developed into a mecca for martial arts and fitness enthusiasts from all over the world. Especially in the south of the island, such as Rawai, there are numerous Muay Thai camps. But nowhere is the density of Muay Thai gyms, fitness camps & boot camps as high as in the 1.5 km long Soi Ta-iad in Chalong. In recent years, an excellent infrastructure has developed here for Thai boxers, MMA and UFC fighters, as well as fitness enthusiasts from all over the world.
