During your trip, you can look forward to a daily breakfast buffet consisting of bread, cheese, ham, honey, butter, jam, 3 different fruits, milk, tea, coffee, yoghurt, orange juice, peach juice, muesli and oats. Special requests, such as vegetarian meals, are also no problem.

You also have the option of adding half board to your fitness trip. Enjoy a delicious 3-course menu at lunchtime, which is prepared seasonally and with Portuguese flavors. The dishes are therefore very varied and include a starter, a main course and a dessert.
* It is generally common on site for you to quickly get to know other participants and to visit one of the restaurants in Peniche together in the evening in a flexible and relaxed manner. A BBQ on the camp grounds is also not uncommon 🙂

Shark's Lodge also has a restaurant with an à la carte menu, which offers a selection of dishes (including vegetarian options) during the day.

Fitness & Leisure in Peniche, Portugal

Spend your vacation on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Portugal in Peniche, a traditional fishing village with a long history. It is one of the largest traditional fishing ports in Portugal and an important Atlantic hub for maritime tourism activities.

In addition to surfing & relaxing on the numerous & beautiful sandy beaches, we recommend a stroll through the old town of Peniche. In addition to the sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, the churches of São Pedro and Misericórdia, you should also visit Fort Peniche. This monument was built in the 16th/17th century to defend the coast together with the fort on Consolação beach and the fort on the island of Berlengas. Subsequently, in the 20th century during the Estado Novo regime, the fort was used as a prison before finally being converted into a museum in 1980.

• Excursion tip: Take a trip to the Berlingas Islands, a nature reserve just off the coast.
• Surf tip: The best beach for pros is Praia dos Supertubos with a tube-shaped wave suitable for major international events.
• Gourmet tip: As Peniche is still a fishing village, freshly caught fish and seafood are among the culinary highlights of the region.

Professional surf lessons, intensive workouts and unforgettable experiences...

In general, you can expect a very friendly and informal atmosphere at Shark's Lodge. The trainers & instructors speak English and do everything they can to welcome you and look after you intensively throughout your entire vacation. Experience an unforgettable time at Shark's Lodge in Peniche and take part in a varied sports program tailored to your goals. An extensive program of surfing & CrossFit is already included.

-> In general, all teachers have national and international qualifications and training as well as years of experience.

IMPORTANT: Due to wave conditions and tides, the surf courses are offered in the mornings and afternoons and are coordinated with the other courses. As the primary focus of the surf camp is on the surf courses and these are adjusted depending on the weather, there is no fixed daily schedule. An "activity board" is displayed in the lobby to inform you when a course or activity is on offer. You are welcome to sign up here for a climbing excursion or surf course.

Look forward to an intensive CrossFit session as the sun rises and start the day in top shape. After a healthy breakfast with local ingredients, you can spend the morning exploring the traditional fishing village and surfing hotspot of Peniche and the Baleal peninsula in front of it. Fantastic, endless sandy beaches paired with perfect waves make this place so unique.
Afterwards, enjoy a healthy lunch with the other camp participants before plunging into the refreshing water together and testing the perfect waves of the Atlantic while surfing. One thing is certain: you will fall in love with the sport - if you haven't already.

In the early evening, look forward to another session at Shark's CrossFit in the fresh air. Together with other like-minded people, you can really work out with functional exercises under the guidance of a trainer.

Spend the evening together with other camp participants or enjoy the evening individually with a good, relaxed and at the same time fit feeling in a cozy beach bar and forget all your thoughts with an unforgettable, warm (summer) evening.

Booking conditions & open questions

Trip duration:
The minimum trip duration is 8 days / 7 nights. However, you are also welcome to travel with us for longer and enjoy your vacation. Simply select your desired arrival and departure dates in the booking calendar.

Travel program:
You determine your travel program individually, i.e. you can lie on the beach all day or take part in as many courses & activities as are included in your travel package (all services apply as specified below under Included services). In addition to the services that are already included in your travel package, you can book further services, such as extra fitness sessions, with just one click in the booking form.

Availability:
Please note that your period may be fully booked at short notice due to dynamic booking procedures. This means that we cannot always guarantee that the selected trip will be available at the requested time in combination with a specific room. In any case, we will immediately check all travel components with the organizer on site so that we can guarantee you a final confirmation within 48 hours! In the rare case of unavailability, we will offer you an alternative option directly: Either in a comparable accommodation or for a slightly different travel period.

Cancellation conditions:
This trip cannot be canceled. However, you are welcome to take out travel cancellation insurance here at a reasonable price.
