Phil Armstrong - Fitness Coach
Get ready for a workout with Phil - Based on his background in the Royal Navy you can expect full and professional motivation. Specializing in boxing, swimming and cycling, you'll learn a lot from him. Due to his passion for fitness, you can be sure that you will see him training - if he is not active as a trainer himself. Phil is the first one in the gym in the morning and the last one to leave: his dedication and commitment will inspire you.

The founder and owner, Danny, has raised Koh Fit from the ground up - with the result that he has a wealth of experience in the fitness industry. His credo is that every guest achieves their individual goal. He himself regularly takes part in fitness events, e.g. Sparta or endurance competitions.
Samantha Pettifer - Manager
In addition to our Travelling Athletes team, Samantha is your contact person at Koh Fit for any organizational questions. She will be with you every step of the way on your fitness journey. From the introduction on the first day of your arrival to the check-out, she will support you in all matters. Sam's goal is to create a tailor-made fitness package out of every fitness journey - individually tailored to your needs. You will also find her at the gym every day so that you have another point of contact if you have any questions.

Start the weekend on Saturdays with the morning class and a jungle and/or beach workout. These take place on the beach or in the stunning landscape of Koh Samui. It's your chance to experience the island's tropical environment during a workout. The session is led by one of the highly qualified trainers, Chris. With more than 14 years of experience in fitness, he ensures proper execution, variety and fun. Every Saturday you can choose between the Beach Circuit and the Jungle Hike. Both forms of outdoor training start early in the morning - ensuring cool, fresh air.
Jungle Hike
Take part in the 5 km jungle hike, where your motivation and stamina will be tested. This is not a race, so you can set your own pace. It's a wonderful way to actively experience the landscape on Koh Samui and push yourself to the limit with other Travelling Athletes runners. The best feeling comes when you reach the top of the route and can marvel at the fantastic views of the island: Sea, palm trees and traditional Buddha temples are just some of the views.
Beach Circuit
Fun, variety and plenty of speed define the workout on the beach. Start with a warm-up (jogging & stretching) on the beach to enjoy the first rays of sunshine in the morning and the rising sun over the ocean. Then burn lots of calories with a variety of functional exercises on the beach - using kettlebells, battle ropes and slam balls, among other things. Finish the workout by jumping into the refreshing ocean, ridding your body of the sand and feeling fresh again.
A workout has never felt so much like a vacation
Koh Fit Thailand offers Strength and Conditioning classes that help all Travelling Athletes improve strength, agility, endurance, speed and power. Compared to ordinary workouts that focus on one movement in isolation, these classes optimize holistic movements of your body that are also used in your daily routine and sport.

Stretch and mobility exercises that are necessary for the movements of the later workout.
Compound lifts
Learn how to perform movements consisting of push, pull and leg exercises that strain and challenge multiple muscle groups at the same time.
Conditioning
Each workout contains a variety of different components aimed at optimizing your power, strength, balance, agility, coordination, endurance and speed.
Cool Down
Your group will be shown the relevant stretch exercises to reduce muscle soreness and aid recovery.
Try something new with a cross training class: it combines power lifting, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, fitness and offers a functional workout in which two days are never the same. Travelling Athletes with all athletic requirements and abilities can take part in cross training, as the workouts are adapted to individual needs according to load and intensity. Consequently, both absolute beginners and experienced cross trainers can take part in cross training.

Stretch and mobility exercises that are necessary for the movements in cross training.

Learn (new) movements from strength and Olympic lifting including squats, deadlifts, presses, snatches (weightlifting) and deadlifts (weightlifting).
Workout of the Day (WOD)
Each day will provide a new challenge in which a certain number of repetitions (reps) for certain exercises are to be completed as quickly as possible.

Your group will be shown the relevant stretch exercises to reduce muscle soreness and aid recovery.
Circuit training in a new form - the most effective form of training you can do in an hour. Leave your gym routine behind and really boost your metabolism. Fun and group dynamics are at the heart of this type of fitness. Here too, all Travelling Athletes are welcome to take part.
Tabata
This circuit includes 8 rounds of ultra-intense exercises in a 20 sec. workout and 10 sec. rest interval. Get ready to train to loud music.
Marine Circuit
Complete the Marine Assault course as fast as you can. An obstacle parkour as you already imagine it: tires, commands and much more. Don't forget your swimsuit, it can get wet!
EMOM
Start with a prescribed number of exercises for one minute and recover quickly until the next minute starts. Try something new with this dynamic workout form.
Calorie killer
Push yourself to the limit and burn calories. Grab a partner for rowing and similar forms of endurance. Compete against other Travelling Athletes and try to burn the most calories.
Get to know THE NATIONAL SPORT of Thailand. Starting from the traditional training forms of Muay Thai, you will find yourself in fast and new forms of fitness. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced fighter - EVERYONE can participate in the Muay Thai courses. Learn the skills of a professional Muay Thai fighter at different levels of intensity. Fun, variety and motivation are also at the forefront here. The Muay Thai courses are held by Chris, who has taken part in more than 40 professional Muay Thai fights.

The yoga sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced yogis alike. The sessions are led by highly qualified instructors Ann and Bowie - with many years of experience in prestigious yoga institutions.

Just five minutes from the beach, you can take a relaxing stroll along Lamai Beach and watch the crystal-clear water mingle with the white sand. From here you will find a variety of options for water sports, massages or a refreshing cold drink.
If you prefer to go on a trekking tour, this is also possible - Koh Samui is known for its breathtaking waterfalls. You can also join an external safari tour, start your own hike or simply enjoy your time in the sea or pool.

You determine your travel program individually, i.e. you can lie on the beach all day or take part in as many courses & activities as are included in your travel package (all services apply as stated below under Included services).
