This trip is suitable for ALL Travelling Athletes who are interested in a year-round, intensive fitness vacation with additional yoga & wellness sessions.

There is no limit to the variety of classes you can take during your trip. Take part in morning bootcamp-style outdoor workouts or enjoy outdoor yoga classes at the weekend (PopUp BeachFlow). We leave the mix up to you: in other words, take part in the yoga and fitness classes you want to take part in. The eco-friendly 4-star hotel "1926 Hotel & SPA" is only a 5-minute walk from our training center and is the perfect choice for our Travelling Athletes with high standards. Opened in 2019 , the beautifully designed hotel is located in the center of Sliema, 200 meters from the sea. In addition, the hotel's own beach club, the famous 1926 Beach Club (you have free access here / normally 15-20 €), which offers a magnificent view of the infinity pool and the Mediterranean Sea, will meet all your needs.
* The beach club is only open during the summer months (usually until mid-October | depending on the weather)

Premium Suite

Fitness & Leisure in Sliema, Malta

Sliema is a vacation resort on the east coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta. There is a long waterfront promenade and Fort Tigné, a polygonal fortress from the 18th century.

Sliema is a popular area among locals and tourists. There are numerous stores, restaurants, cafés and hotels in the town. It is a great place to stroll through the streets or go out for a meal. There is also a rocky beach for swimming.

The city is also perfectly located between Valletta and St. Julian's. You can get to Valletta in just 20 minutes by bus or 15 minutes by ferry. You can be in St. Julian's in about 10 minutes by bus.

Indoor & outdoor training with a motivated team of trainers

To ensure that your fitness vacation meets your fitness requirements in the best possible way, you can train indoors and outdoors in a modern fitness center (4 min. walk) and use the hotel's brand new training facilities during your trip.

Introductory meeting with our fitness partner

Two fitness sessions a day are already included in this trip (7 days = 14 fitness sessions). However, you can easily add more classes during the booking process 🙂 Choose easily and freely from all the classes on offer via the fitness partner's app - whether yoga, HIIT, bootcamp.

Your fitness center

In this fitness travel package in Sliema, you can look forward to getting to know local personal trainers and receiving intensive support. A very friendly atmosphere & English-speaking, young and motivating trainers will welcome you and offer you a home away from home.

In general, the focus of the intensive courses is on training sessions with functional exercises. These take place in the studio or outdoors along the beach promenade & on the beach. Experience challenging and interesting workouts and enjoy the soothing sunshine at the same time.
The various courses on offer usually last 30-60 minutes: From HIIT training in different styles, functional training as well as lifting for beginners and advanced, to pole fitness classes, you can take part in ALL classes. In addition, numerous yoga classes such as Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative, Ashtanga, Pre/Post-Natal, Athlete Yoga and many more are offered daily. These also take place both indoors and outdoors.

For a trip lasting 4 days, 8 courses are included for you, for a trip lasting 10 days you can take part in 20 courses, and so on. It's up to you when you want to take part in the courses: I.e. take part in 4 courses on one day, for example, and relax on the beach on another day and do not take part in any courses.

Fitness, yoga & wellness in your hotel

The 1926 Hotel & SPA has a boutique spa & wellness center with an aquatic pool, a sauna, a hammam, a tepidarium (warming room), four treatment rooms and a fitness area. For you as Travelling Athlete , unlimited access to the wellness area is included in this trip. Please note, however, that you will need to book in advance to use the spa, as the number of people is limited.
Of course, you can train as much as you like in the fitness area!

Start the day at sunrise with the FMM Grit course, which takes place outdoors. A real outdoor power workout that combines running sessions with bootcamp-style exercises to start a sunny day in top shape. You will quickly discover the various benefits of exercising in the fresh air. You can also enjoy Malta's sunshine at the same time. After a healthy breakfast at the resort's beach club, you can explore the capital Valletta in the morning. Numerous historic buildings and a pure vacation feeling await you in this unique city.

On Tuesdays at 20:00, we can organize a contemplative yoga class at the hotel on request. This offers a calming alternative to the active program. The Hatha Flow Yoga class combines movement sequences that are held for longer with breathing techniques. Afterwards, wellness is also included for you at Travelling Athlete . Find peace and completely switch off on vacation.

Enjoy the evening feeling well rested and fit at the hotel's beach club. Alternatively, there are numerous options in Sliema or in the nearby capital Valletta for daily evening entertainment.

Booking conditions & open questions

Trip duration:
The minimum trip duration is 5 days / 4 nights. However, you are also welcome to travel with us for longer and enjoy your vacation. Simply select your desired arrival and departure dates in the booking calendar.

Travel program:
You determine your travel program individually, i.e. you can lie on the beach all day or take part in as many courses & activities as are included in your travel package (all services apply as specified below under Included services). In addition to the services that are already included in your travel package, you can book further services, such as extra fitness sessions, with just one click in the booking form.

Availability:
Please note that your period may be fully booked at short notice due to dynamic booking procedures. This means that we cannot always guarantee that the selected trip will be available at the requested time in combination with a specific room. In any case, we will immediately check all travel components with the organizer on site so that we can guarantee you a final confirmation within 48 hours! In the rare case of unavailability, we will offer you an alternative option directly: Either in a comparable accommodation or for a slightly different travel period.

Cancellation conditions:
This trip can be canceled in accordance with our general terms and conditions. However, you are welcome to take out travel cancellation insurance here at a reasonable price.

Local taxes:
The traveler must pay an environmental tax on site at the hotel reception. This amounts to 50 cents per person/per night, up to a maximum of €5.
